Today we are remembering the lives of all 2459 of the people who lost their lives on Dec. 7th 1941 at the Pearl Harbor naval base in Hawaii. Due to the malicious and unnanounced nature of the attack, President Roosevelt said about the day, “a date which will live in infamy”. This decisive event caused the United States to declare war on Japan and consequently for nazi ocuppied Germany and fascist Italy to declare war on the United States. This was the beginning of World War II for the US.
Today we remember and salute those who lost their lives that day and we remind their families, that THEY will not be forgotten.
