Also joining Nikko will be two very special guests from Philly & Miami as well as a special B2B set by residents Dalmau & Farmer!
First we have one of our very good friends Safarii! One of the masterminds behind the beloved Philadelphia based collective, Familiarise, and the infamous [Late Habits] party, Safarii has been a part of creating a complete experience for his crowds both behind the decks and behind the scenes. This time he steps into the booth to play one of his signature sets.
Our second guest is Miami born, Brooklyn based, music lover & player, Cry Baby! Cry Baby’s signature sound is a little deep and dark, and a lot of sexy. Although she’s been working at perfecting her trade for years, her move to New York in 2011 is what really launched her career. She’s finally making her Hidden Roots debut and we are very excited to have her play for us!

Thanks to Prab Kumar at PulseRadio.net who writes a nice little piece about some of my current projects; the remix on Mexa Records and the song I gave away for free on Monday (Uncle Kram). Ooooooooollllllllleeeeee!
Prab Kumar says, “Nikko Gibler is an artist on the ascent.” – “Not your average disc jockey.” – “Despite fitting the mold of top dj/producer/label boss nicely, Nikko is a unique musician.”
Awwwww! Thanks Prab. You’re the best!

Hello again my friends! Happy 2013. Back from vacation in Tulum and on full work mode.
I know I haven’t been keeping the blog up-to-date that much in the last few weeks, and that my friends, is about to change. I have been kept busy producing, mixing, travelling and such; so keeping up with it has been nearly impossible. However, as I said, there are a lot of new and exciting things coming up; so rest assured, 2013 will be full of surprises. Welcome back!!
Here’s a little something to get back into it smoothly…
I very recently made a remix for Mexa Records. Mexa Records is a Mexicali-based record label that has been putting out great quality music lately and therefore I jumped at the opportunity of working with them. On this occasion, the man behind the original is Corey Baker (half of Wildkatz) and he did a really superb job of getting the vibe of the song up-there and clear-as-cristal. I really got the hang of what he was trying to convey ON his original, and so I decided to go on and write a melody and lyrics to it. So, what started out as a remix, ended-up in my opinion as its own individual song, while always respecting Corey’s original concept and aesthetic. It was very fun to work on and record (which I did in multiple places while travelling) and so here it is. It’ll be out on Jan. 21st.
Also featured on the release are Louie Fresco + Jon Lee as well as a remix from my buddy, nice-guy Derrick Boyd aka. Tone Of Arc. Groooovy stuff!
Get it while its hot b*ttttttchs! Pssssssssssssssssss….. (sizzlessss) =)
